Congratulations on earning your Doctoral degree from Georgia Tech!

Your experience as a graduate student while at Georgia Tech and your plans after graduation provide vital information for improving our programs and for preparing the students who may follow you. We invite you to complete two surveys: The Georgia Tech Doctoral Exit Survey and the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Survey of Earned Doctorates.

The Georgia Tech Doctoral Exit Survey asks about your experiences with your doctoral program, while the NSF Survey of Earned Doctorates is a national survey of doctoral recipients, designed to gather background data about the path to your doctorate and your subsequent career plans. Any and all information you provide will be held in strict professional confidence and will only be reported in a format where your individual responses cannot be identified.

More information about this survey may be found on the PhD Survey Consent Form. Please read this before starting the survey. If you have any questions about the Georgia Tech Doctoral Exit Survey, please call or e-mail the Georgia Tech Office of Assessment (ph: 404-385-1292; e-mail: survey@oars.gatech.edu). More information about the NSF Survey of Earned Doctorates can be found here: http://www.nsf.gov/statistics/srvydoctorates/. If you have any questions about your rights or role as a participant in this project, please contact the Georgia Tech Institutional Review Board at 404-385-2175.

Thank you for your assistance and best wishes as you begin your career.

Sincerely,

G. P. “Bud” Peterson

President
